Gus Belaires steps down as Bethlehem Catholic girls soccer coach

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/06/belaires_steps_down_as_bethleh.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES Gus Belaires says his one regret coaching the Bethlehem Catholic girls soccer team is not posting a victory against Easton. "That was my biggest goal, to beat Easton, and we couldn't do it," Belaires said today after announcing that he had resigned "for personal reasons" as the Golden Hawks coach after five seasons. "We lost to them by one goal five straight times. We felt that if we beat Easton, it would verify that we were a good team." Belaires thought Becahi had the makings of a good team going into this season. The Golden Hawks figured to battle Easton for the Lehigh Valley Conference East title. But despite having plenty of firepower returning up front, Becahi stumbled to an 8-10 finish after a 5-2 start.
