In advance of the Disney Advertising Sales Virtual Roadshow presentation, Freeform highlighted its commitment to bold and boundary-pushing young adult content with the pickups of both Everything's Gonna be Okay and Motherland: Fort Salem, as well as the recently announced scripted romantic-comedy series Love in the Time of Corona, which begins production this summer. Freeform has picked up critically acclaimed comedy Everything's Gonna Be Okay” for a second season. The series, which is created, executive produced and stars Josh Thomas, follows Nicholas, a neurotic twenty-something-year-old who is forced to raise his two teenage half-sisters, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, after the untimely death of their father. The series stars Josh Thomas, Kayla Cromer, Adam Faison and Maeve Press.

And that's not all - Happy Days joins the weeknight lineup at 6:30PM | 5:30C, following The Flintstones. The Summer of Me kicks off on Monday, June 1. Pop TV announced the One Day at a Time animated special will premiere on Tuesday, June 16 and include special guest stars Gloria Estefan, Melissa Fumero and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The critically acclaimed Sony Pictures Television series had its mid-season finale on Tuesday, April 14 due to production stoppages as a result of COVID-19. The animated special, titled, "The Politics Episode," will be fully executed remotely and premiere on Pop TV Tuesday, June 16 at 9:30PM ET/PT following a marathon of the current season.

COZI TV is bringing some good news to fans of The Office on Sunday, May 17 with a "Best of Jim" marathon starting at 11 a.m. ET (check local listings). The marathon will include 16 episodes, celebrating some of the best highlights and funniest moments of Jim Halpert, played by John Krasinski, who is a salesman at Dunder Mifflin and is known as the office prankster. The Office premiered on NBC in 2005 and ran for 201 total episodes of nine seasons. The series was based on the British series of the same name. The Office won several awards during its run, including five Emmy Awards. The series helped to launch the careers of Krasinski, along with Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak and Rainn Wilson. The show was lauded for its trademark deadpan delivery, and it helped to popularize the "mockumentary" style in American television.

Actor and comedian Jerry Stiller, who was best known for his roles as Frank Costanza in Seinfeld and as Arthur Spooner in The King of Queens, has died. He died from natural causes at his home on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on May 11. Mr. Stiller was 92.

CBS announced the return of 23 series, renewing 80% of its top-rated lineup for the 2020-2021 broadcast season. The Network will announce its new series and 2020-2021 primetime schedule in the coming weeks as part of a virtual upfront (more below). The returning shows include top series NCIS, Young Sheldon, FBI: Most Wanted, Bob (Hearts) Abishola, and 60 Minutes. Among the additional renewals are the dramas All Rise, Blue Bloods, Bull, FBI, MacGyver, Magnum P.I., NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, S.W.A.T. and Seal Team; comedies The Neighborhood and The Unicorn; reality series Undercover Boss; and the law and justice program 48 Hours. They join the previously announced renewals of Evil, Mom, Survivor, The Amazing Race and Young Sheldon. HBO has renewed comedy series Insecure for a fifth season. Insecure's ten-episode fourth season debuted April 12 on HBO.
