The Lehigh Valley's baseball franchise in the Keystone State Games is holding a series of tryouts and the first is set for Saturday at the Laurys Station field in Whitehall Township. Thankfully, the heat is supposed to subside by then.
The tryout is scheduled for noon to 2:30 p.m.
There are two teams.
The Junior Division squad is for kids who will be either ninth or 10th-graders in the coming 2012-13 academic year and the Scholastic Division team is for kids who entering 11th or 12th grade in the coming academic year.
The KSG Baseball Tournament is set to run Thursday, Aug. 2 to Sunday Aug. 6 in the Hershey/Harrisburg area.
More tryouts and practices are set for June 30 and July 14, also at Laurys Station.
