http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Best NBA Finals Ratings Since 2004 on ABC- The five game NBA Finals on ABC had an average rating of 11.8, the highest five game series on the network since 2004. The five game rating is up 5% from the first five game of last year’s Finals between the Heat and Mavericks. Game 5 delivered a 12.6 overnight rating, matching last year’s Game 5 number. In Miami, the game delivered a record 40.3 rating. In Oklahoma City, the game delivered a 39.8. NHL Draft Begins Tonight on NBC- The NBC Sports begins its coverage of the 2012 NHL Draft tonight. The first two rounds will air on The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) from Pittsburgh from 7-9p.m. ET. The action will then move to CNBC for the final hour. The NHL Network will also pick-up coverage at 9:00p.m. ET. NBA Draft Coverage on NBA Media- NBA TV and NBA Digital is prepping for coverage of the NBA Draft. The television network will debut network will premiere NBA TV Draft HQ on tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET with host Vince Cellini, Steve Kerr, Mike Fratello and Ron Thompson. On Draft Day June 28th NBA TV will present the 2012 NBA Draft Preview at 5:30 p.m. ET with current Georgetown Head Coach John Thompson III joining host Vince Cellini, analysts Seth Davis, Greg Anthony, Steve Smith and reporter David Aldridge. NBA.com will employ a special Playermetrics 360-Degree Camera which will allow fans to use 360-degree camera views to review key player information (e.g. height, wingspan, reach, etc.) on each prospect which was recorded during the combine. Braves/Red Sox on Sunday MLB on TBS- This week’s Sunday MLB on TBS broadcast will feature the interleague match-up between the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox. First pitch is 1:30p.m. ET with Brian Anderson David Wells and John Smlotz. Tennis Channel Announces Contract Extension for Host Macatee- The Tennis Channel has announced that it has entered into a contract extension with host Bill Macatee. The multiyear agreement keeps Macatee with the network during its coverage of the sport’s four major tournaments – Wimbledon, US Open, French Open and Australian Open. Macatee will host coverage of the Tennis Channel’s Wimbledon Primetime program daily, beginning this Monday, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. 1 a.m. ET., followed by a four-hour encore (1 a.m.-5 a.m. ET) and two one-hour encores (5 a.m-6 a.m. ET, 6 a.m.-7 a.m. ET). NASCAR Sprint Cup this Sunday from Sonoma on TNT- TNT has coverage this Sunday of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Toyota Save Mart 350 from Sonoma, CA. Coverage will begin with the Countdown to Green pre-race show – hosted by Adam Alexander with analysts Larry McReynolds and Kyle Petty – at 2:00 p.m. ET. Alexander will also provide play-by-play with analysts Petty and Wally Dallenbach and reporters Ralph Sheheen, Marty Snider, Matt Yocum and Chris Neville. Two Current and Two Former NFL Players Selected from NFL Broadcast Boot Camp- The NFL Broadcast Boot Camp is complete and Lions WR Nate Burleson and Broncos TE Joel Dreesen have earned a guest co-hosting spot on SiriusXM NFL Radio this season. Former players Troy Brown and Mark Tauscher will each spend one regular-season Sunday working on-air for one of the league’s United Kingdom television partners. The dates of the all the assignments will be determined closer to the kickoff of the 2012 NFL season. CBS Sports Has Dirt Track Racing this Sunday- The CBS Sports Spectacular this Sunday will feature the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model- Show Me 100 from Wheatland, MO. Ken Stout, Rob Klepper, Dave Argabright and Tony Bokhoven call the action beginning at 2:00p.m. ET.
