http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NASCAR Sprint Cup this Saturday Night from Kentucky on TNT- TNT has coverage this Saturday of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing Presented by KFC from Kentucky Speedway. Coverage will begin with the Countdown to Green pre-race show – hosted by Adam Alexander with analysts Larry McReynolds and Kyle Petty – at 6:30 p.m. ET. Alexander will also provide play-by-play with analysts Petty and Wally Dallenbach and reporters Ralph Sheheen, Marty Snider, Matt Yocum and Chris Neville. NBA TV to Cover Free Agency With Special Programming- Once the NBA Draft is over, NBA TV will be producing special programming to cover the league’s free agency period. Free Agent Fever will air Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET and midnight (when the free agency period officially begins) and Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET. Rick Kamla, Dennis Scott and David Aldridge will handle the hosting duties on Saturday while Vince Cellini, Steve Smith and Scott will recap all of the day’s news and rumors regarding free agency on Sunday. Golf Channel Has Best June Ever- The Golf Channel reports that this June has been the most watched in the 17 history of the network. Golf Channel averaged 115,000 viewers during June, which represents an increase of 37 percent over last year and 40 percent over 2010. Though June, average viewers are up 22 percent over the same period last year and an impressive 51 percent over 2010. U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Takes Part in Finale Friendly Before Olympics- The U.S. Women’s Soccer team will take on Canada this weekend in its final tune-up before next month’s Olympics. The match will be telecast on the NBC Sports Network Sunday at 1:30p.m. ET from Salt Lake City, UT. Arlo White and Kyle Martino will call the action while Russ Thaler will host the pre-game, halftime and post-game segments on-site. MLS Action on NBCSN- NBC Sports Network will have MLS action tomorrow night between the Chicago Fire and Sporting Kansas City. Coverage begins at 8:00p.m. with John Strong and Brian Dunseth on the call with Brent Harris serving as studio host live on-site. Jr. Welterweight Battle on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights- ESPN will feature a pair of Jr. Welterweights on this week’s Friday Night Fights. Ruslan Provodnikov and Jose “El Nino” Reynoso will battle beginning at 10:30p.m. ET on ESPN2 with Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas on the call. Alex Pombo and Delvin Rodriguez will call the fight for ESPN Deportes. U.S. Women’s Open Bowling on ESPN2 Tuesday- ESPN2 will have coverage of the Women’s U.S. Open Bowling Championship next Tuesday. Coverage begins at 8:00p.m. ET with Dave LaMont, PBA Triple Crown winner Chris Barnes and reporter Cathy Dorin-Lizzi calling the action.
