http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Opening Rounds of Euro 2012 Gives ESPN Viewership Success- ESPN reports that through the first 24 matches of Euro 2012 the network is averaging 784,000 households and 1,002,000 viewers – up 79 percent and 82 percent, respectively, versus the group stage matches in 2008. The most-watched match in the group stage was a 1-1 tie between Spain and Italy on Sunday, June 10 – seen by an average audience of 2.113 million viewers. New York and Ft. Lauderdale had the highest average rating for the group stage of matches, at 1.6. SiriusXM Radio to be the Home to Wimbledon- SiriusXM Radio announced today that it will be the satellite radio home of Wimbledon. SiriusXM will be airing 13 hours of coverage daily through the feed provided by ESPN Radio. Coverage will begin on June 25th on Sirius channel 93 and XM channel 206 and on weekends on ESPN Xtra, SiriusXM channel 85. IndyCar Action Returns to NBCSN- The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will have coverage this weekend of the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series Iowa Corn Indy 250 this weekend. Coverage begins Saturday at 9:00p.m. with Bob Jenkins, Jon Beekhuis and Tommy Kendall on the call with Kevin Lee, Robin Miller and Townsend Bell serving as pit reporters. ESPN to Telecast Nadal/Djokovic Charity Exhibition- ESPN2 will be televising a charity tennis exhibition featuring the top two men’s players in the world, Rafeal Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The event, which will benefit the Realmadrid Foundation and the Rafa Nadal Foundation, will take place July 14th at 2:00p.m. ET.
