Comedy Central ordered a 10-episode second season of hit series South Side, the aspirational, scripted comedy set in and around the working class neighborhood of Englewood on the South Side of Chicago. Season one of South Side, currently airing Wednesday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, is garnering universal praise from critics and holds a 100% Certified Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Watch a preview of this week's episode here. Through the first five episodes of season one, South Side is averaging a 1.02 L+3 rating with African American P18-49 viewers, making it Comedy Central's highest-rated new series in that demo since the Key & Peele launch in 2012. It's also the #1 new original primetime cable comedy of the year in the demo and the #1 new cable comedy of 2019 with African American M18-49 (1.23 rating). Overall, South Side is averaging a 0.35 P18-49 L+3 rating, up +13% from the same time slot average in 2018.

Pop TV announced that Hot Date, the sketch comedy series spotlighting modern-day relationship dilemmas, will return for its second season on Friday, Sept. 20 at 10:00 and 10:30 PM, ET/PT. The half-hour, 10-episode series stars real-life married couple Emily Axford and Brian Murphy, two comedians who appear in the show as heightened versions of themselves trying to figure out this thing called love. In its second season, Hot Date welcomes a swipe-right list of guest stars including Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat), Margaret Cho (Drop Dead Diva, 30 Rock) and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911, The Odd Couple). Executive produced by Will Arnett and his Electric Avenue production company, Big Breakfast, a Propagate company and Artists First, Hot Date is inspired by the popular digital comedy Hot Date, which has garnered over 100 million views to date on the CollegeHumor Originals YouTube channel.

With a lineup of celebrities including a supermodel, a former White House press secretary, a Bachelorette, pro-athletes from the NFL and NBA, a Supreme and a '90s TV icon to name a few, Dancing with the Stars is waltzing its way into its highly anticipated upcoming 2019 season. The new celebrity cast is adding some glitzy bling to their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the show kicks off Monday, Sept. 16 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT, on ABC. For the first time ever, viewers will have to tune in to the season premiere to find out with whom their favorite professional dancers are paired. This season also features the return of a loved pro, Peta Murgatroyd, and two new professional ballroom dancers. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu. CBS announced that the Network has reached a new agreement with The Late Late Show's James Corden to continue to host his acclaimed broadcast through August 2022. ABC announced a dynamic upcoming lineup from the network's late-night host Jimmy Kimmel at the Television Critics Association event. Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return to Brooklyn, New York, for five original shows starting Monday, Oct. 21. The Emmy Award(R)-nominated show will tape in front of a live studio audience from the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House. ABC's Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's All in the Family and The Jeffersons premiered on Wednesday, May 22, with an average audience of 10.4 million viewers and earned a 1.8/9 in Adults 18-49 and reached 22.5 million Total Viewers for its original Wednesday airing and Saturday rebroadcast.

CW Seed, The CW's free, ad-supported digital network, has acquired off-season streaming rights to Pop TV's Primetime Emmy Award nominated comedy series Schitt's Creek. Seasons one through four of Schitt's Creek is now available to stream on the CW Seed App and CWSeed.com as of yesterday, Sunday, August 4. In Schitt's Creek, a character-driven, half-hour, single-camera scripted comedy series, is co-created by two-time Emmy Award winner Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy. The series' ensemble cast includes Eugene Levy, Emmy Award winner Catherine O'Hara, Daniel Levy, Annie Murphy, four-time Emmy Award winner Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson, Noah Reid, Dustin Milligan, Sarah and Karen Robinson. The series follows a wealthy family who suddenly find themselves broke and forced to live in Schitt's Creek, a small town they once bought as a joke. Schitt's Creek will premiere its sixth and final season only on Pop TV in the US in early 2020.

FX Networks announced that its critically acclaimed comedy series Baskets will come to an end with the show's season four finale on Thursday, August 22 on FX. Baskets is executive produced by Jonathan Krisel, Zach Galifianakis, Marc Gurvitz and Andrea Pett-Joseph, and stars Galifianakis, Louie Anderson, Martha Kelly and Alex Morris. It is produced by FX Productions. Season four of Baskets continues Thursdays at 10pm. In the three seasons that Baskets has been Emmy Award(R) eligible, Louie Anderson won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and was nominated two additional times for his work as loving matriarch "Christine Baskets." In 2017, Zach Galifianakis received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" for his transformation into twin brothers "Chip Baskets" and "Dale Baskets."

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the lineup of legacy episodes from Inside the Actors Studio leading to the new season premiere on October 13. Showcasing a wide range of talented actors and hosted by the incomparable James Lipton, these legacy episodes demonstrate the incredible talent participation and entertaining storytelling of the long-running series. Throughout August and September, the network will air one legacy episode every Sunday at 12pm ET, starting on August 11. An interview with Paul Newman, the first guest of the long-running series which debuted on June 12, 1994, will be the first episode to air on the arts network, with additional legacy episodes airing on Sundays in August and September, all leading up to the new season premiere on October 13 (10pm ET/7pm PT).
