Brandywine to play Pine Grove in PIAA 2A baseball semifinals

The Bullets, who won the District 3 title, will meet District 11 champ Pine Grove at 4 p.m. Monday at Parkland High in the Eastern final. The winner advances to next Friday's PIAA championship game at Penn State. Brandywine won its first two state-tournament games by a combined score of 16-2. Brandywine defeated Nueva Esperanza 9-1 in the first round and Holy Redeemer 7-1 on Thursday. Pine Grove has been even more dominant, winning its first two games by a combined score of 21-1. Both games lasted five innings.
