Abandoned suitcase at Nazareth library wasn't a threat, police say

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/nazareth/index.ssf/2012/06/suspected_suitcase_bomb_at_naz.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES A suspected bomb discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Nazareth library turned out to be an old suitcase taken from a large trash container by two boys, according to borough police. Police were dispatched at 3:20 p.m. to the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity for a report of a possible bomb -- a box-shaped black suitcase sitting unattended in the lobby, police said. Chief Thomas Trachta ordered the evacuation of the library and called in the Bethlehem Fire Department bomb squad for assistance. A half-dozen other agencies responded as well.
