http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game Five Tonight on ESPN- ESPN will telecast Game Five of the NBA Eastern Conference FInals tonight beginning at 8:30p.m. ET. Mike Breen will be joined by Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Doris Burke. Kia NBA Countdown will open each telecast at 7:30 p.m. ET with Magic Johnson, Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon and Chris Broussard. Golf Channel Has Most-Watched May Ever- The Golf Channel continues to see record viewership numbers. In May the Golf Channel audience averaged 112,000 viewers, a 33% increase over 2011. Through the first five months of 2012, viewership is up 20% over last year. Tennis Channel Sets Ratings Record for First Week of French Open- The Tennis Channel reported today that it has seen record ratings during its first week of French Open coverage. The network averaged a 0.61 rating according to Nielsen Media Research, or 319,738 homes, up 17 percent from 2011′s 0.52 average. The daily premiere of prime-time news, interview and analysis show French Open Tonight also established new highs, exceeding 2011′s performance by 51 percent every day, and is averaging a 0.52 rating vs. last year’s 0.35 for the first seven days, equal to 272,563 homes. Rays/Yankees on Wednesday Night Baseball- This week’s Wednesday Night Baseball match-up on ESPN will feature the Tampa Bay Rays at the New York Yankees. First pitch is 7:00p.m. ET on ESPN2 with Dave O’Brien, Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Gomez. CBS Sports Spectacular has Hoops and Off Road Racing this Weekend- The CBS Sports Spectacular this weekend will kick-off Saturday at 1:30p.m. ET with the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk and 3-Point Shooting Championships from New Orleans. Tim Brando, Bill Raftery, and Lewis Johnson will call the action. On Sunday at 1:00p.m. ET Seth Davis hosts an encore of Kings of the Court, which looks at some of the best college coaches in the country. At 2:00p.m. ET CBS has coverage of the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Southern California Shootout off road event. Ken Stout, Cameron Steele, Jeremy McGrath, Rob Klepper and Erin Batescall the action for CBS Sports.
