Pates Park to host state playoff doubleheader on Thursday

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER All teams from District 11 may be out of the state softball tournament, but Pates Park will be still be busy on Thursday when the PIAA quarterfinals are held. At noon, the 2A quarterfinal between District 3 champ Kutztown and District 2 champ Nanticoke will take place, followed at about 2 with the 3A contest between District 1 champ Sun Valley and District 2 champ Valley View.
