NBC Sports Group Unveils Plans for Belmont Stakes

http://sportsmediajournal.com/ History could be in the making this Saturday as I’ll Have Another tries to become the first horse to capture the Triple Crown since 1978. And NBC has laid out its plans to provide blanket coverage of the event. The network will devote 11 hours of coverage to the race across NBC and the NBC Sports Network. Among the special programming planned for the race is a documentary on I’ll Have Another and replays of the 2012 Kentucky Derby and Preakness. Bob Costas andTom Hammond will co-host the network’ coverage on race day. They’ll be joined by Hall-of-Fame jockey and three-time Belmont Stakes winner Gary Stevens; analyst Randy Moss; contributing analysts/handicappers Mike Battaglia and Bob Neumeier; host Laffit Pincay, III; Hall-of Fame jockey and two-time Belmont Stakes-winner Jerry Bailey; reporters Kenny Rice, Donna Brothers and Jay Privman; and race caller Larry Collmus.
