Liberty's state playoff opener set for 6 p.m. Monday at Pates Park

Newly-crowned District 11 4A champ Liberty will return to Pates Park on Monday night at 6 for its state playoff opener against Central Bucks South, the No. 3 entry out of District One.
Kutztown, the only other Morning Call-area team left in the state softball tournament, will play District 5 champ Chestnut Ridge at 5 p.m. Monday at Lyons.
If Kutztown wins, it could have a meeting with District 11 champ Pine Grove on Thursday in the state quarterfinals. Pine Grove plays District 2 champ Nanticoke at 4 p.m. Monday at Blue Mountain.
Also at Blue Mountain on Monday at 2 will be the Class A opener between Minersville and Southern Columbia, the No. 2 team out of District 4.
Pottsville, District 11's 3A champ, will play District 12 champ Conwell Egan at Temple's Ambler Campus on Monday.
