ESPN Announces Additional Programming to Commemorate 40th Anniversary of Title IX

http://sportsmediajournal.com/ ESPN has announced that it will provide over 11 hours of programming on June 23rd, the 40th Anniversary of the enactment of Title IX. Coverage on that Saturday begins at 12:30 p.m. ET with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky at defending champion Minnesota Lynx, the first of two WNBA games on ESPN that day. Another highlight that day will be the historic Battle of the Sexes: 1973 Billie Jean King vs. Bobby Riggs Match at 9 p.m. on ESPN Classic. The event was last aired in 2003.
