PHILADELPHIA NATIVE DANNY POMMELLS JOINS COMCAST SPORTSNET FULL-TIME
PHILADELPHIA – (June 19, 2012) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports coverage, today announced thatPhiladelphia native Danny Pommells has joined the network’s on-air team. Pommells has been working part-time for the network since April 2012 after working in the financial field for the past three years.
Pommells’ duties will include reporting on all of Philadelphia’s sports teams for the network’s daily news shows, as well as contributing to CSNPhilly.com and across the network’s mobile and social media platforms.
“I am so fortunate to be doing what I love in my hometown,” said Pommells. “My wife Michaela has been my biggest supporter throughout my entire career, and we are excited to be back in Philly. I look forward to once again being a part of the greatest sports town, and bring fans all the compelling storylines that the teams provide on a daily basis.”

Pommells graduated from Temple University in 2002 with a degree in Communications. Prior to Comcast SportsNet, he was the weekend sports anchor at KCRA in Sacramento, CA; WGAL in Harrisburg, PA, and WMDT in Salisbury, MD.
