District 3 Wrestling, which begins its dual-meet tournament tonight at host sites throughout the district, has moved its semifinals and finals, originally scheduled for Saturday morning at the Milton Hershey School, to Friday at the same site. The semifinals will now begin at 4 p.m. Friday, using the school's two gymnasiums, with the consolation matches and championship finals to follow at 5:30 p.m.
Catasauqua became the first school to alter its basketball schedule for the weekend, announcing early in the afternoon that its Friday night home boys basketball game with Bangor will begin with the junior varsity game at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity at 6 p.m. The game will still be televised by the two local cable companies, Service Electric and RCN.
The time change also forced the postponement of the junior high game between the two teams. No make-up date has been set.
The same changes were made to the girls game at Bangor.
