Junior Josh Malaska hit a three-point shot with seven seconds left in overtime to give Northern Lehigh a stunning 30-29 win over Wilson Wednesday night in the Colonial League boys basketball semifinals at Catasauqua.
Northern Lehigh struggled with just 9-for-33 shooting in regulation and was 0-for-3 in OT before Malaska hit his big trey. Malaska had only scored 38 points all season for the Bulldogs, but also hit a three-pointer late in regulation to set up the overtime.
Wilson also struggled shooting the ball. The Warriors were just 10-for-45 in regulation and only managed a Kowan Scott basket in overtime.
Nothern Lehigh will go for its third league title in four years on Friday night at Freedom against either Notre Dame or Southern Lehigh.
