(Philadelphia, PA) If you need a true indicator of the most trusted news source in the region, look no further than the television ratings from last weekend. From noon until 11p on Friday, Action News averaged 424,000 viewers (people 2+). CBS3 and NBC10’s combined viewers couldn’t compete with 6abc, averaging 165,000 & 142,000 respectively. Friday night, as the storm moved in, Action News’ 11pm 11.2 HH rating easily beat NBC10 and CBS3 combined. CBS3, with a 6.6 rating, only garnered about half the audience of 6abc. In Adults 25-54, Action News’ 5.7 rating more than doubled CBS3’s 2.8 rating.

As the snow continued to fall, and people were stuck at home, they tuned to 6abc in large numbers. During the height of the storm (Saturday 8-9am), Action News’ 8.4 HH rating held a 47% advantage over 2nd place NBC10 (5.7 rating). At 6pm, 521,000 viewers (people 2+) were watching 6abc - that’s 60% of ALL news viewers! Action News’ 13.0 rating easily outpaced the competition combined – FOX29 (3.4), NBC10 (3.0), CBS3 (2.5).



It was also a record setting weekend for 6abc.com! Online users went to the station’s web site in huge numbers, recording more than 6.5 million page views (web, wireless, & video) from Thursday to Sunday. Friday’s 2.4 million total pages views on 6abc.com was the largest one-day number in the web site’s history.
