Up by seven points with just under six minutes left in the game, the Bethlehem Catholic High School's boys basketball team appeared to be in the driver's seat in its PIAA Class AAA first-round playoff against Pope John Paul II.
But it was the Golden Panthers, the District 1 runner-up, that came up with the big plays down the stretch as Pope John Paul II rallied to beat the Golden Hawks 59-56 tonight before a crowd of about 1,100 at Freedom High School.
