FROM THE MORNING CALL
HERSHEY – As the clock ticked toward 2 minutes, Bethlehem Catholic coach Bill Lanscek sent his reserves to the scorers' table.
He gave his starters plenty of time to try to rally. The Golden Hawks never mustered enough offensive support for Kalista Walters to put a scare into South Park.
Eagles guard Shelby Lindsay scored 12 of her team-high 20 points during an 18-4 first-half run, helping her team build a double-digit lead. Four of her teammates added at least seven points Saturday night as District 7 champion South Park claimed its first state title in program history with a 53-38 win in the PIAA Class 3A girls basketball final at Giant Center.
