IronPigs post second straight shutout in 3-0 win over Toledo

Break up the Lehigh Valley IronPigs!

For the second straight game, a starter and two relievers combined for a shutout. Tonight it was Nate Bump, Ryan Vogelsong and Scott Mathieson doing the job in a 3-0 win over Toledo for a pitching staff that is rapidly becoming the strength of the 2010 team.

Bump improved to 6-3 and lowered his ERA to 2.71 with six innings of four hit baseball. Vogelsong added a pair of scoreless inning and Mathieson came on to earn his 11th save and lower his ERA to a miniscule 1.29.

Willy Taveras provided all of the scoring the IronPigs would need when he singled in the first inning, stole second and scored on an RBI double by Neil Sellers.

The two teams square off for the third game of the series on Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park as Joe Savery (1-4, 4.66 ERA) takes the mound against Enrique Gonzalez (4-5, 3.46).
