Comcast SportsNet will have extensive 76ers' draft coverage

PHILADELPHIA (June 22, 2010) – Comcast SportsNet, Philadelphia’s source for comprehensive local sports coverage, will have extensive live coverage of the 2010 NBA Draft on-air and online. The Philadelphia 76ers, under new coach Doug Collins, currently have the number two pick in the draft.



Draft day coverage begins at 5 p.m. with Daily News Live. Comcast SportsNet will also have exclusive reports during SportsNite, as well as live coverage of the 76ers Draft Party on the floor of the Wachovia Center. At 6:30 p.m. Comcast SportsNet’s basketball analysts will break down the Sixers draft on Draft Day 2010 live from the AT&T Pavilion in the Wachovia Center. Throughout the night, fans will hear from Sixers legends Dr. J and Moses Malone, Sixers President Ed Stefanski and Coach Collins.



Comcast SportsNet will air two live specials on Thursday. Draft Day 2010 will air at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. with Ron Burke on the anchor desk alongside Sixers analyst Donyell Marshall and Chris Mannix from Sports Illustrated. CSNPhilly.com’s Dei Lynam will be live from the draft at Madison Square Garden and Neil Hartman reports from various locations in the Wachovia Center during the 76ers Draft Party.



Comcast SportsNet’s Amy Fadool will host live chats on CSNPhilly.com at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with exclusive behind the scenes footage available exclusively online.



When the Sixers make their pick, Comcast SportsNet will break in live on-air and on CSNPhilly.com to announce the pick and provide instant analysis.



Comcast SportsNet will wrap up the Draft on SportsNite at 10 p.m. followed by another live edition of Draft Day 2010 at 10:30 p.m.



CSNPhilly.com will have comprehensive coverage of the NBA Draft leading up to draft day, and an in-depth recap immediately following the conclusion.
