Radio show lineup for Saturday

From Keith Groller

Some football, baseball, basketball -- and charity softball -- will be the topics this Saturday morning on The Morning Call's "Calling All Sports" show, heard 9-11 on 1470 AM and online at fox1470.com.

Jim Tkach, the former Northern Lehigh and assistant Liberty football coach, will talk about his induction into the Pennsylvania Coaches Hall of Fame and tonight's Big 33 game, which has two Liberty players, Anthony Gonzalez and Jarrod West.

Josh Hermann, a Parkland grad now working for the Philadelphia 76ers, will talk about the Justin Sheftel Memorial Softball Tournament coming up next weekend and also his involvement with the 76ers and our two major local high school basketball tournaments.

And Tim Neiman, the DeSales baseball coach and Service Electric color analyst, will talk about the local baseball scene, especially his involvement with a new baseball program in the city of Allentown designed to get more kids involved in the game.

There will be trivia as well.

The phone number is 610-432-5767.

And if you miss the show, you can still catch parts of it online, by going to the fox1470.com site and type in podcasting as the keyword.
