Not surprisingly, today's snowstorm is in the process of wiping out tonight's sports schedule.
East Stroudsburg University, Lehigh and DeSales are among the colleges to have postponed their basketball games scheduled for tonight until tomorrow, and the high school events that weren't postponed already last night are beginning to fall.
College Basketball
East Stroudsburg postponed its basketball doubleheader against Bloomsburg until Thursday night, setting up a triple header at Koehler Fieldhouse beginning with a wrestling match against Binghamton at 4 p.m., to be followed by the women's and men's basketball games. The wrestling match, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., was moved up three hours to accomodate the basketball games.
Thursday's games will start a stretch of five games in nine days for the Warrior basketball teams. ESU will play at Shippensburg on Saturday, host Kutztown on Monday in a make-up game from last Saturday, travel to Mansfield on Wednesday and host Cheyney the following Saturday (Feb. 20) as they face a condensed second half of their PSAC East schedule.
The wrestling team has one home match remaining after Thursday, a clash next Tuesday with Kutztown at 7 p.m.
Lehigh's women's basketball game at Navy Wednesday has been postponed until 5 p.m. Thursday, and Saturday's game at Army has been postponed to Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
No announcment has been made on the Mountain Hawks men's game Wednesday at Stabler Arena with visiting Navy.
DeSales has posponed its men's and women's basketball doubleheader with Misericordia at Billera Hall until Thursday night.
