KEITH GROLLER'S THOUGHTS ON NAZARETH WIN SUNDAY NIGHT

Junior Chuck Dibilio scored 22 points and sophomore Karl Keglovits scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Nazareth pulled away from Parkland 63-39 at Parkland on Sunday night to clinch the final spot in the upcoming Lehigh Valley Conference tournament.

Had Nazareth lost, Freedom would have secured the final LVC berth.

Instead, the Blue Eagles (16-5, 10-4) qualified for the LVC tourney for the first time and will play top-seeded Liberty at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Easton Middle School.

Allen plays Whitehall in the second game at approximately 7:45 p.m. The winners return to Easton for the title game on Friday night.

"It's a great opportunity and a great feeling especially when you consider where we came from six years ago," said Nazareth coach Joe Arndt. "These kids are special and they worked really hard for this."

Parkland, which only had its full team intact for two games, finished its season at 8-14, 5-9 and will miss the district tournament for the first time since 1993-94.
