District 11 champion Easton Area High School looked strong in the light weights, building a 21-0 lead over District 6 champion Central Mountain at the PIAA Class Team Wrestling Championships.
The advantage was short-lived as the Red Rovers lost the final seven bouts, including five by falls, in a 40-24 loss at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
Evan DiSora (103) and Mike Fleck (112) started the quarterfinal round match with pins for Easton (14-7), which now wrestles in tonight's consolation bracket. Robbie Rizzolino (119), Calvin Daly (125) and Mitch Minotti (130) then added decisions. Mark Hartenstine (140) was the Red Rovers' other winner.
Central Mountain (16-0) won eight of the final nine bouts, including pins from both of the Alton brothers -- Andrew at 145 and Dylan at 152.
