The Parkland ice hockey team continued its successful season on Monday, posting a 3-0 win over Downingtown East on Monday night in the Flyers Cup quarterfinals.
The 11th-seeded Trojans (19-0-1) will play second-seeded North Penn in the semifinals at 8:45 Thursday night at Warwick.
In the win over Downingtown East, Ryan Dumbach scored a pair of goals and Brett McHale added one. James Swartz picked up two assists and Nick Chandik added one.
Goalie Robert Stock had a shutout with 23 saves, and also was credited with an assist.
The four-time Lehigh Valley Scholastic Hockey League champs have already defeated the No. 6 and No. 3 seeds in the Flyers Cup tournament.
The winner of Thursday's game will play either No. 1 seed Central Bucks South or No. 5 seed Cherokee in the March 19 Flyers Cup title game.
The winner of the Flyers Cup will face the winner of the Penguins Cup (the western Pa. champ) for the overall state championship.
