Look back at Tuesday night's PIAA hoops: Dist. 12 goes 5-1; Dist. 11 0-3

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Another trip to Reading's Geigle Complex and another bad night for our teams with both the Nazareth girls and the Central Catholic boys losing on Tuesday night.
At least the Parkland boys are headed in another direction tonight.
Since my first trip out there to cover Whitehall winning the Reading Christmas tournament title in 1982, I must have covered 40 games at Geigle over the past 31 seasons -- all in the state tournament -- and my guess is that the record of our teams in those games is something like 8-32.
So many great teams and great seasons have come to an end at Geigle -- Whitehall in 2005, Allen in 2006, Easton last year and on and on. A lot of sad interviews have been conducted either inside or just outside that second-floor locker room where CCHS was on Tuesday night.
We've had some good moments there, too, like CCHS winning the Eastern title in 2001 and Parkland in 2004, but the bad moments have far outweighed the good when it comes to games there.
Here's a look at Tuesday night's boys scoreboard and while District 11 is now down to one boys team (Parkland), note that District 12 continues to go strong with a chance for multiple gold medals next weekend at Hershey:
