FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES
Holden Greiner and Mackey McKnight sat at the dais for the postgame press conference with an expected look of frustration and disappointment on their faces.
Yet, despite coming up on the short end of an 82-69 defeat to rival Lafayette College in the Patriot League men’s basketball semifinals on Saturday afternoon at a sold out Kirby Sports Center, the Lehigh University duo didn’t hang their heads.
And neither made excuses.
“They just wanted it more," said McKnight, a guard who scored a team-high 22 points. "They actually out-rebounded us with their small group in, which is disappointing. They just wanted it more. They were flying around, getting tip-ins and deflections. Even if one guy would touch the ball and he’d miss it, another guy would come flying in and that’s what you want to see from a team.
