FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

There have been a lot of changes for Zach Kantz this season.
The Bangor Area High School junior grew tired of swimming with recreational teams and in summer leagues, so he joined a club program.
Under the tutelage of Blue Eagle Swim Team coaches Gilberto Moriera Silva (aka Coach Junior) and Shawn Delifus, Kantz has been able to change his results in a positive way.
Kantz earned a silver medal in the 50-yard freestyle at the 2013 PIAA Class AAA Swimming and Diving Championships on tonight at Bucknell University.
Yet despite an 18-spot improvement from last year's championships where he finished 20th, Kantz admitted he wasn't pleased with his second-place and personal-best time of 20.42.
"For most people they'd be happy, but I want gold," Kantz said. "I want to be called a state champion and with a silver, you can't do that. I'm kind of disappointed but it makes me want to come back tomorrow with a different attitude.
