Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 says it played no role in state special ed violations at charter school

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/bethlehem/index.ssf/2012/05/post_260.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 officials say the agency played no role in 33 state special education violations found at Vitalistic Therapeutic Charter School of the Lehigh Valley. The embattled charter school has resolved the violations flagged during an April 2011 on-site compliance visit by the state Bureau of Special Education. In a recent interview for a story about the school resolving the errors, Vitalistic Principal Ron DeIaco said that some of the violations were due to incomplete educational evaluation reports written by IU-20. DeIaco declined comment today citing an upcoming meeting with IU-20 Executive Director Charlene Brennan.
