Erin Wilson shut out Emmaus for the second time in this softball postseason and Ashley Malek slugged a two-run home run to help Liberty beat Emmaus 4-0 on Thursday night at Pates for the District 11 4A title.
It is the Hurricanes first district title and their first championship since winning the 1993 East Penn Conference crown.
Malek's two-run homer started the scoring in the secodn inning.
Alyshia Dellatore doubled and scored on an error in the third and Mariah Kondravy capped the scoring with a RBI double in the fifth.
It was Kondravy who defeated Emmaus with a grand slam in April and knocked in the game-winning run with a triple in the ninth inning in the LVC semis, a 1-0 Green Hornets victory.
Liberty (20-4) moves on to the state tournament on Monday, back at Pates Park against CB South.
Emmaus, denied in its bid for a sixth district title, ends its season at 17-7.
