Lower Nazareth Township home burns, no one hurt - UPDATE

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A single-family home this afternoon on Vista Drive in Lower Nazareth Township.

No one is hurt, according to the Northampton County emergency dispatch center. Flames were through the roof of the Cape Cod-style home.

No one appeared to be home when the fire started. The second floor of the home was gutted in the fire that looked like it began in the rear of the house. There is significant smoke and water damage to the first floor.

Gloria Beck, who lives at 4368 Vista Drive, said late this afternoon that she called 911 after she saw fire at her neighbor's home at 4364 Vista Drive. County records indicate Gregory and Theresa Newman own the home that was burning.

Northampton County emergency dispatch reports said the blaze was at 4368 Vista.

Fire companies from Lower Nazareth Township, Upper Nazareth Township and Bethlehem Township, Pa., including Nancy Run, fought the fire, and an emergency medical unit from Hecktown responded.

This report has been corrected as to the address and homeowners.
