Nazareth man accused of choking and assaulting his girlfriend

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A 52-year-old Nazareth man is accused of throwing his girlfriend "around the house from one end to the other" and choking her during a domestic violence incident Sunday, court records say.

Joann Nesfeder managed to escape the home and sought help at the Nazareth police station, records say. Nesfeder told police her boyfriend, Donald Pysher, assaulted her, "whacked her head off the house" and held her to the ground while choking her, court records say.

The incident happened at Pysher's home in the 100 block of South Green Street, records say.

Pysher was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful restraint and related charges. He was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

This is the second time Pysher has been accused of assaulting a girlfriend. In 2009, he was sentenced to four years of probation under a plea deal for beating and choking then-girlfriend Susan Dulick.
