Wednesday!

Wednesday September 21, 2011

Good Morning!!

Welcome to a rainy Wednesday.

Rain all week.

Yuck.

I Hope for no rain Friday night!

I Will be collecting Tickets in heavy Rain.

I Got rain gear.

It would suck for homecoming to be a wet one.

The game will go on!

People had a rumor going that the game would be canceled and Allen would fold up their Football Program.

It not true.

They do have a meeting Thursday night but nothing will be donw until the end of the season.

I Think Allen and Dieruff should merge together.

They should not eliminate Football, without sports, those kids would be out in the streets doing drugs.

I am proud to Announce Nazareth's Homecoming Couet:

King:
Dan Shephard, dan harding andrew bridgeforth John Gonzalez Doug Zeman Akil Jackson and Mike Garzillo

Queen:
Hilary Holecz, Jacki Hikes, Lauren DeQuintal, Tess Hamsher, Sinmi Opeyemi, Merideth Heckman

Good luck to all!!!

I Will be at the Pep Rally to see the King announced at 1:30pm Friday!!!!!

Lehigh Valley Conference to help those recover in Schuylkill County:

*For Immediate Release*

The Lehigh Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference and its Student-Athlete Character Council plan on assisting those affected the damage created by Tropical Storm Lee.

During the week of September 19-24, donations will be accepted to assist those in need. Each of the 12 LVIAC schools will be working to secure donations from its students during the school week. Cash donations and donations of gift cards will also be accepted at each school.

Additionally, on Saturday, September 24, the LVIAC is hosting its Boys’ Soccer and Field Hockey Play-days at four locations. Donations will be accepted at these sites from 9am – 2pm. Cash donations will be accepted at the ticket booths at the four game locations. The four specific sites are:

J. Birney Crum Stadium – Linden Street Gate

Franko Banko Field at BASD Stadium – Elizabeth Avenue Gate

Zephyr Sports Complex – Main Gate

Emmaus Memorial Field – Main Gate

The donations will be then taken to Schuylkill County to assist the families affected by flooding and destruction in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Lee. The LVIAC would like to embrace our fellow schools and communities in need by helping to provide some of the basic day to day necessities.

Among the items that we are looking to secure are:

Personal care supplies and toiletries

Diapers

Wipes

Cleaning supplies

Rubber gloves

Non-perishable food items

Pet supplies

Bottled water and drinks

Paper supplies including toilet paper

Gift cards including gas cards Convenience store cards

Cash

The LVIAC Student Athlete Character Council is dedicated to the development and promotion of character and sportsmanship within the school, league and community. The SAC council is a group of top juniors and seniors chosen by athletic departments and administration to represent the 12 schools of the LVIAC. 48 student-athletes are a part of this community outreach program.

If you’d like to help in any additional way, please do not hesitate to contact the Athletic Director at your LVIAC school or check the LVIAC website at www.lviac.net.

We look forward to your help, assistance, and generosity.
