97.5 The Fanatic Dream Job Contest Winner

Mike Missanelli Names Jason Ashworth of Chestnut Hill as the Winner



Philadelphia, PA (September 1, 2011): 97.5 The Fanatic wrapped up the Dream Job contest on Wednesday, August 31st during the Mike Missanelli Show by naming Jason Ashworth of Chestnut Hill as the winner. The other final contestant was Dave McClain from Lansdale, PA. Over 400 people submitted amateur videos since the end of June, for the chance to win a weekly, two hour, co-hosting job for one year on 97.5 The Fanatic. As the winner, Jason will also win a one year lease on a KIA, courtesy of KIA of West Chester and Coatesville.



After the announcement live at the Drake Tavern in Jenkintown, PA, Jim Sipala of KIA of West Chester and Coatesville announced that both finalists would get a one year lease on a KIA.



Jason Ashworth is 30 years old and has worked as a camera man grip for ABC Sports while at Penn State and as a producer for Comcast Sportsnet before his current job as a national sales representative at Futura Healthcare. He’s familiar to Dream Job contests after placing 5th in ESPN’s national search in 2004.



Dave McClain is a 25 year old football fanatic. After being named an All American High School Football Offensive and Defensive Lineman at Central Bucks High School, Dave went on to play college football at Rutgers University and Elon University. Now Dave is a Youth Behavior Intervention Specialist, who will be getting married on New Year’s Eve.



97.5/The Fanatic is owned by Greater Philadelphia Radio, Inc., a subsidiary of Greater Media, Inc., the parent company of 23 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. Greater Media also owns a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey and several telecommunications towers located throughout the United States.
