Colonial Regional Police seek woman who used stolen check to buy puppy

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Colonial Regional police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who used a stolen check to buy a $2,000 English bulldog puppy.

On Aug. 19 an elderly woman accidentally left her purse in a Wal-Mart shopping cart in Lower Nazareth Township, police said. Another woman was caught on tape using the elderly woman's credit card at a Sunoco convenience store in Wind Gap to purchase cartons of cigarettes, police said.

The same suspect also used a stolen check to purchase the puppy, police said.

The name and location of the pet store was not included in a news release and police were not immediately available to provide that information.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspect to call them at 610-861-4820 and ask for Detective Gary Hammer.
