Allentown Fair daily schedule: THURSDAY, SEPT. 1

FROM THE MORNING CALL

•Hours: Noon to 11 p.m.

•Admission: $6; free, ages 11 and under and everyone noon to 2 p.m.

Noon: Continuation of morning sheep juding, judging tent. Continuation of morning swine judging, livestock barns.

Noon-5 p.m.: "Jammin' in the Juke" Two Days in the Car contest, midway.

Noon-10 p.m.: Agri~Plex exhibits/demonstrations, Agri~Plex. Poultry Building, Livestock Barns, 4-H Barnyard Petting Zoo, outside the judging tent.

Noon-11 p.m.: Indoor shopping, dining, Fair personality Punkin Miller Headquarters, Lehigh Valley Garden Railroad Club running exhibit, main exhibit building. Outddor shopping/easting stands, First and Fourth avenues and midway.

1 p.m.: "Come Grow With Us Young Gardners on Stage," community group performance, Farmerama Theater. Farm to Table Cooking Series, "Come Grow With Us" contest winner, Agri~Plex. Flower, Specimen Flowers, Artistic Arrangements, Agri~Plex.

1-9 p.m.: Demonstrating Crafter of the Day – Ed Youtz wood turner, main exhibit building.

2-11 p.m.: Rides, games, midway.

2 p.m.: Steve Brosky & Jimmy Meyer, music tent. Karo Cookie Contest, Agri~Plex.

2:15 p.m.: Chicken Chat and tips on fall and winter for your birfd, Centennial Stage.

2:30 p.m.: Robinson's Pig Paddling Porkers, pig racing, Machinery Avenue Court.

3 p.m.: Extreme Canine Stunt Dog Show, Farmerama Theater. Farm to Table Cooking Series, Phil Abrunzo executive chef/spiceman Bowers Hotel, Agri~Plex.

3:15 p.m.: Brian Follweiler, folk, rock,blues, Centennial Stage.

3:30 p.m.: Big Cat Encounter, educational show and exhibit, Machinery Avenue Court.

4 p.m.: Farm to Table Cooking Series, Edward Galgon Jr. chef/owner Cab Frye's Historic Tavern, Agri~Plex. "Taste of the Market" sampling, main exhibit building.

4:15 p.m.: Brian Xander, singer/songwriter, Centennial Stage.

4:30 p.m.: Robinson's Pig Paddling Porkers, pig racing, Machinery Avenue Court.

5 p.m.: 3 DOORS DOWN plus "Carnival of Madness" featuring Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry Adelitas Way, Emphatic, grandstand. Extreme Canine Stunt Dog Show, Farmerama Theater. Farm to Table Cooking Series, Gregory Caracappa, executive chef, Sodexo at Mack Trucks and Jason Christein, executive chef Sodexo at PPL, Agri~Plex.

5:15 p.m.: Contest "Picture Yourself" Scavenger Hunt, Centennial Stage.

5:30 p.m.: Big Cat Encounter, educational show and exhibit, Machinery Avenue Court.

6 p.m.: 4-H and Ag-Ed Sheep Showmanship and Market Lambs, judging tent. RCN Sports Talk show with host Chris Michael and Joe Craig featuring Grandview race cars, drivers, Hanover Starz cheerleaders, Farmerama Theater. Crazy Heart, music tent. Farm to Table Cooking Series, Nick Sandercock, general manager Red Robin, Agri~Plex.

6:30 p.m.: Robinson's Pig Paddling Porkers, pig racing, Machinery Avenue Court.

7 p.m.: Extreme Canine Stunt Dog Show, Farmerama Theater. Pennsylvania's Incredible Angel Food Cake Contest, Agri~Plex.

7:30 p.m.: Big Cat Encounter, educational show and exhibit, Machinery Avenue Court.

8 p.m.: Celebration and contest drawing at Martin H. Ritter Grandstand 100th Anniversary display, Agri~Plex.

8:30 p.m.: Robinson's Pig Paddling Porkers, pig racing, Machinery Avenue Court.

10:15 p.m.: Gracys Trip, active, classic rock music, Bier Garten.

Strolling attractions: Scott's Crazy Comedy Magic Show, Bounce and Ooo La La Comedy Juggling Show, Fair Mascots, Dapper Dan the clown, fairgrounds.

WFMZ Channel 69 News tent, midway.
