NBC continues to have viewership success for the 2012 London Olympics.
Saturday night’s audience reached an average of 21.8 million viewers, the most-watched final Saturday of competition for a non-U.S. Summer Olympics since 1988. The viewership topped the 2008 Games by 30% and the 2004 Olympics by 21%.
Saturday’s prime time rating of 12.6 was 22% and 14% over 2008 and 2004 respectively.
NBC also reports that its weekday daytime audience averaged 7.1 million viewers for all 10 telecasts, making it the most-watched weekday daytime show of any non-U.S. Summer Olympics in history. Average viewership is up 31% from the Beijing Olympics and up 37% from the Athens Olympics
