FROM THE MORNING CALL
Nate Christman was honored as the rookie of the year in the 358 Modified clan at Grandview Speedway following the 2011 racing season.
As the 2012 campaign began, the 27-year-old Christman had the same goal as he had the year before — the Oley driver just wanted to go out and qualify, every week.
The family-owned racing team purchased a 2010 Troyer chassis and Main Racing Engines supplied all the power under the hood once more aboard the familiar Double D Sheet Metal No. 37 mount.
"All we had on our plate as we started the year was to try and figure out the new chassis," explained Christman, who works during the week as a butcher for his family's business, Christman's Meats. "The biggest problem we have had, though, is all we've been doing is repairing it. It has just been one of those years."
