FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES
The four of them were inseparable, bonded by their love of football and their shared devotion to perfection.
Jim Evanko was the head coach at Nazareth Area High School, forging a 100-38-4 record from 1964-77, the high water mark being a 10-0 season in 1967, culminating with the Lehigh-Northampton League North Division championship.
His coaching sidekicks were Jerry Treon, who later succeeded Evanko as coach at Nazareth, Ron Lewis and John Roanoke.
