U.S. Women’s Soccer Gold Medal Victory Most-Watched Event on NBC Sports Network- NBC Sports reports that yesterday’s gold medal winning match for the U.S. Women’s Soccer team garnered an average of 4.35 million viewers on the NBC Sports Network, making it the most watched single event in the history of the network. Last night’s prime time coverage of the Olympics on NBC had an audience of 22.9 million viewers, the lowest audience for this Olympics and the most-watched second Thursday for non-U.S. Summer Olympics since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
A’s/White Sox on Sunday MLB on TBS- This weekend’s Sunday MLB on TBS telecast will feature the Oakland A’s at the Chicago White Sox. First pitch is 2:00p.m. ET with Dick Stockton and John Smoltz on the call.
Yam Joins Pac-12 Network as Studio Host and Anchor- The Pac-12 Network announced that it has hired Mike Yam to serve as a studio host and anchor. Yam spent nearly four years at ESPN where he served as an anchor on SportsCenter and ESPNews, as well as being heavily involved in the Network’s NBA, college football and basketball coverage.
