http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Wash, Rinse, Repeat in Terms of Olympics Viewership for NBC- 38.7 million viewers tuned in to NBC’s prime time coverage of the Olympics last night, making it the most watched non-US hosted first Tuesday ever. The network earned a 21.8 rating, the best number for a Tuesday night since the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. Through 5 days, 168.1 million Americans have watched the Olympics on the networks of NBCUniversal, ahead of Beijing’s 167.8 at the same point through the Games. Through the first Tuesday of the London Olympics, NBC is averaging 35.6 million viewers, the most of any non-U.S. Summer Olympics since the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Olympics on Telemundo Registering Massive Viewership Gains- The viewership for the 2012 Olympics on Telemundo is registering 69% growth in total viewers and 58% among adults 18-49 over the 2008 games in Beijing. Overall Telemundo delivered a total cumulative viewership of 9.4 million viewers for the first three days, 12% more than the first three days of the Beijing Olympics. Pac-12 Network Signs Carriage Agreements with Two Cable Carriers- The Pac-12 Network has announced that it has signed carriage agreements with Frontier Communications and Bend Braodband. Frontier services subscribers in Washington and oregon while Bend Broadband also serves subscribers in Oregon. Bridgestone Inviational PGA Event on CBS Sports- CBS Sports continues its coverage of the PGA Tour this weekend with the Bridgestone Invitational. Action will begin Saturday and Sunday at 2:00p.m. ET. Jim Nantz will anchor coverage along with Sir Nick Faldo. Ian Baker-Finch calls the action at the 17th hole,G ary McCord at the 16th hole and Peter Kostis at the 15th hole. David Feherty serves as on-course reporter. NFL Media Adds Schein to Staff- NFL Media has announced that SiriusXM NFL Radio host Adam Schein has joined the NFL Media team. Schein will be a regular contributor on NFL.com and NFL Mobile. Schein will continue his show on SiriusXM Radio as well as his duties covering the NFL on SNY-TV.
