ccording to Stephen Miller of the Morning Call, senior Pius X wider receiver Boise Ross has landed at Liberty High School due to a mix up in communication that caused him to enroll at Freedom High School last month.
Based on his residence, Ross should enroll at Liberty and not Freedom. According to Liberty head coach Dave Brown, Ross has been working out with the team since this week.
Ross is one of the top returning wide receivers in the area. He was a Morning Call all-area honorable mention selection as a junior and also was named to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers’ Class A All-State Football Team. Ross had 49 catches for 1,177 yards and 19 touchdowns last season at Pius X.
Ross had 74 catches for 1,514 yards and 23 touchdowns in his two years playing for Pius. He joined quarterback A.J. Long in leaving the Royals this year. Long, a rising junior, left Pius X in May and enrolled at a school in Tennessee in June.
