Hazleton and Colgate's Nate Eachus getting used to the heat in Kansas City

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Nate Eachus is in the training camp of the Kansas City Chiefs. As you know, I am a fan of Eachus, having watched him in high school during a remarkable playoff run by Hazleton in 2007. In consecutive weeks, he ran for 263 yards against Easton, 387 against Liberty and 192 against Parkland. Hazleton beat Easton and Liberty, a two-time defending 4A East champ at that point, in 2007 and would have beaten Parkland, too, except for a blocked field goal in the final seconds. Parkland went on to the state final. And then he went on to an All-American career at Colgate where he ran for nearly 4,500 yards despite an injury-plagued senior season. He had some solid performances against both Lehigh and Lafayette over the past four seasons. If anyone deserves a shot at the NFL it's him, but right now it's a long shot. He is garnering enough attention to be featured in a Q-and-A. And if you think it's hot here, you should experience the heat of America's heartland.
