Nazareth Legion defeats Freemansburg

The rising senior proved on Wednesday he can be just as effective as a starter. Horvath pitched a two-hitter and Nazareth erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning en route to a 12-0 romp over Freemansburg in the deciding game of their best-of-three Northampton County American Legion quarterfinal playoff series at Nazareth Borough Park. The game was stopped in the fifth inning due to the 12-run mercy rule. Nazareth, the second seed and three-time reigning NorCo champion, hosts No. 3 East Stroudsburg in the opener of the best-of-three semifinal series at 5:30 p.m. today.
