North Parkland, Bath stay alive in American Legion tournament

http://www.mcall.com/sports/baseball/mc-north-parkland-bath-american-legion-baseball-07-20120722,0,2801279.story FROM THE MORNING CALL WEST LAWN — Pete Daland admittedly stresses over every mistake made when he pitches. The Bath right-hander worked up a real sweat in keeping West Lawn off the scoreboard for the first seven innings of Sunday's Region 2 American Legion elimination game, despite three errors, four walks and four hits he allowed. "I just tried to relax and shake off the mistakes," he said. "I usually get really [peeved] off, but I kept my head." So, when teammate Robert Bertolotti allowed three singles and managed just one out in his first inning in relief, Daland found himself fighting the urge again as he watched from the dugout.
