Lehigh Valley Conference announces 2011 football all-stars

The Lehigh Valley Conference announced the 2011 football all-star team today. Central Catholic wide receiver Kevin Gulyas was named the league's offensive Most Valuable Player and Parkland's Rob Dvoracek earned the defensive MVP honor for his work at linebacker.

After Central's victory over Pottsville on Friday, Gulyas now holds the state record in receptions (232) and receiving yardage (3,726).

Easton's Tyler Green, Ian Hayden, Jose Rojas, Chris Roubik, Liberty's Ahmad McFarland, Anthony Orlando, Barry Temple, Nazareth's Dan Harding, Adam Bridgeforth, David Wilke, Freedom's Okezie Alozie and Bethlehem Catholic's Connor Casey were named to the first team.

Defensive line -- Ahmad McFarland, Liberty; Jake Wygant, Whitehall; Tad McNeely, Central Catholic; Tyler Green, Easton.

Linebackers -- Matt Laub, Parkland; Rob Dvoracek (MVP), Parkland; Andrew Harris, Whitehall.

Secondary -- Okezie Alozie, Freedom; Anthony Orlando, Liberty; Logan Kreglow, Whitehall; Ian Hayden, Easton.

Punter -- Connor Casey, Bethlehem Catholic.

Special teams -- Jarel Elder, Parkland.

Tight end -- Laub, Parkland.
