Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced.

Murray could serve half of the four years because of overcrowding in California jails.

From CBS3:

Dr. Phil, the new leader in daytime talk, made a strong showing in his first season in Oprah’s old time period at 4 p.m. in Philadelphia, according to the November 2011 Nielsen ratings. The good doctor was number one in ratings in Adults 25-54, up 75 percent over 2010 and Women 25-54, up 175 percent over the previous year, beating out WPVI’s 4 p.m. newscast in those key demographics.

Here’s some other November sweeps news from CBS3:

The good news for CBS 3 actually started earlier in the day where Eyewitness News Anchors Ukee Washington and Erika von Tiehl, Meteorologist Katie Fehlinger and Traffic Reporter Bob Kelly saw gains across the board. Early morning news ratings are up 25 percent in Adults 25-54 and 25 percent in Women 25-54 from 4:30 to 5 a.m. In the 5 to 7 a.m. block, ratings rose 9 percent in Women 25-54 and 33 percent in Adults 25-54. As the newscast continued on The CW Philly from 7 to 9 a.m., so did the good news with gains of 100 percent in Adults 25-54 and 100 percent in Women 25-54.
