Lehigh County has declared Thursday as IronPigs Day, according to the office of County Executive Don Cunningham.
He is encouraging Lehigh valley IronPigs fans to wear red and display IronPigs signs in support of the team, which is in the finals of the Governors' Cup International League baseball championship.
The series opens Tuesday and Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, against the Clippers and returns home to Coca-Cola Park in Allentown for Game Three at 7:05 p.m. Thursday. Game Four, if necessary in the best-of-five series, is at 7:05 p.m. Friday, followed by Game Five at 6:35 p.m. Saturday. Games four and five, if played, also would be at Coca-Cola Park.
